Above the cloud layer at Lookout Point
By the time I got to my parents' house in Morro Bay it was 55 deg and totally fogged in, but I had driven through 108 deg heat in the valley earlier that day. An hour before, I had pulled into Lookout Point on Hwy 46 to watch the sun go down over the Central Coast. The fog layer embraced Morro Bay in its cool arms, amd pillowy clouds slid over the jagged coastline like butter stretched over dry toast.
In Nature.
